I'd like to tell you a little story. A couple of months ago, my wife Lisa was making some toast and started singing the original Streetband version of this song. She thought that it sounded a bit like me and said I should cover it. Well, when I found out that it was fellow Lutonian Paul Young who was the original singer, I felt that I couldn't say no. It'd be a laugh, at the very least.

So, here's my first-ever (possibly only) novelty track, just in time for Christmas. I hope it brings you a little joy, or you find it mildly amusing at the very least. Of course, it could also sink the rest of my career but we gotta give these things a go ain't we?

I hated this, I hated that

The upper crust was not for me

Slip a slice under

There's brown bread, white bread
All sorts of wholemeal bread
It comes in funny packages
